Which Kindle Do I Have?
Amazon has released several Kindle generations under the same product name over the years — a "Kindle Paperwhite" from 2015 is not the same size as one from 2024. A case only fits the exact generation, not just the product name.
Check the generation in Device Options
On your Kindle, tap the three-dot menu in the top right, choose Device Options, then Device Info. The full device name including generation appears first, for example "Kindle Paperwhite (12th Generation)". On very old devices running older firmware this screen may not show a name — in that case, check the serial number on the back of the device or the device list at amazon.com/mydevices.

Isn't the product name "Kindle Paperwhite" specific enough to order a case?
No — several generations with different dimensions were sold under that name. The generation shown in Device Options > Device Info determines which case fits.
